The food at camp is delicious! Our wonderful kitchen staff do an excellent job.
Each unit takes turns to wash the dishes after every meal - even the guys.
The campers learn different techniques for doing their Bible study every day in the Deep Bible study class.
This unit works on an assignment during Deep Bible study class. Once all the units have done their assignment, someone from each unit shares what they learned.
Mr. Holtry made Bible study so interestng!
The first classes of the day are the Outreach classes. Each class prepared something for Sabbath. Here the Angklung choir is practicing their music.
The Child Evangelism class practiced the program that they would be sharing on Sabbath. Got to make sure those hand motions are just right!
The orchestra, led by Mr. Cleveland, performed in a nursing home on Sabbath. They did an excellent job even though they only had one week to practice! Some of the other outreach classes included Bible Work, Choir & Writing Ministry.
The recreation classes are next on the agenda. The Drilling & Marching team perfected their marching skills & put together a presentation for everyone the last day of camp.
The Kitchen Creations class learned how to make delicious vegan food - and they even got to eat it at mealtime! It wasn't uncommon to see people doing push-ups for a little bit of their food!
The canoeing class learned new strokes & tips for canoeing. Looks like this canoe was dumped!
Ah - that's better!
There were even several girls in the Auto Mechanics class, where they learned basics of caring for a vehicle.
The campers in the Basic Carpentry Skills class took home projects that they made in class.
The Beginning Voice Training class taught how to use proper singing dynamics.
The campers in the First Aid class had a special hands-on session to practice what they had learned throughout the week.
Lunch time! Another opportunity during the day to nourish their bodies with delicious food.
Of course, after lunch, there are dishes to do again! This time, a girls' unit tackles the pile.
Quiet time gives the campers a chance to write camp-o-grams to each other, write home and tell Mom & Dad how things are going, or to lay down and rest, like this boy is doing.
The Lifeskills classes are in the afternoon. The Building Construction class built a new cabin for the staff.
