Months of preparation, prayers & fundraising have finally paid off, and these participants are excited & ready to start the Mission Experience 2007!

These girls are on their way to Taipei, Taiwan, one of the first stops on the long journey.

Nicole was able to get a little bit of sleep on the plane, something most found difficult to do.

Everyone met up in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, tired but excited. It was great to see old friends, meet new ones, and to finally be in the Philippines!

The flight to Manila was just one of the first parts of the journey. After a short flight to Puerto Princesa, the group was treated with a special meal at the Palawan Adventist Mission - complete with fresh mangos. Yummy!

After their meal, the team boarded this bus that would take them the last leg of their journey.

Michelle & Emily are excited to be on their way to Quezon - almost there!

This is "Esperanza", the home of the team while they were in Quezon. What a beautiful place, right next to the ocean.

The first week at Quezon was the "Training Week". The Medical Missionary team practiced giving massages to each other ...

... and perfecting their skills at taking blood pressures, among other things, to prepare them for opportunities they would have to reach the health needs of the Filipinos they would meet in the weeks to come.

The Child Evangelism team had many opportunities to practice the songs they would be singing for the children's meetings.

All of the craft supplies had to be counted, sorted and distributed for each night's meetings.

The CE team went to an elementary school to invite the children to the meetings - at least 1500 children were there!

The CE team got some more practice in leading song services every day at group worships.

Angie is learning the fine art of washing clothes - by hand!

The team had opportunities to go on special outings throughout the trip. On this day, they visited the local open market. There was everything from shoes to raw fish available for purchase.

Looks like they found some treasures at the market!

The DVD team practiced the hand motions and speech dynamics that they would be using on the sermons they would be preaching at the Evangelistic series over the next few weeks.
