When Jesus spoke, some of the water that covered the earth
rose up, up, up.
It made a fleecy white covering high above the earth.
Between this water and the water below,
Jesus put clear, fresh air.
The air forms the “atmosphere” of our earth.
The Bible calls it the “firmament.”
